and Thanksgiving. Annual festivals such as the
Fire on the Mountain Chili Cook-Off, Homegrown
Music Festival, and Freedom Fest Motorcycle
Rally have gathered a fun following over the

Homegrown Music Festival - This annual
festival in March coincides with ski and
snowboard events and fun downhome mountain
contests the same week as College Spring Break
so you can believe it packs loads of excitement
and fun. You shouldn't miss the specials and
great concerts that happen all around the
mountain.
Snowshoe Foundation Golf Tournament -
This annual June event takes place at The Raven
Golf Course at Snowshoe Mountain Resort. The Raven Golf Course is one of the
most beautiful golf courses in on the East
Coast, and it is the perfect place for players
to gather to raise money for the Snowshoe
Foundation.
Mountain Bike Park Races - The
Snowshoe Bike Park hosts bike races each year
during the
summer months. This year four races took place
on four different tracks at the park. Don't miss
these amazing mountain bike events.
Fire on the Mountain Chili Cook Jamboree
- This festival takes place just after the 4th
of July holiday and is always a delicious time.
Teams gather to compete to see who has the best
chili and other Southwestern dishes. Also
there are plenty of games, drink specials, and
family events.
Freedom Fest Motorcycle Rally - This
annual July motorcycle rally takes place at
Snowshoe Mtn Resort and is a great, large
gathering of motorcycle enthusiasts from across
the country and primarily the Southeast
and Mid-Atlantic. If you love bikes,
don't miss this annual rally at Snowshoe.
Blues, Brews, BBQ's Festival - Just like
its name, this festival features blues music,
great beer from regional breweries, and
delicious BBQ all weekend long.
Annual Snowshoe Symphony Festival - This
annual meeting of the WV Symphony at Snowshoe
Resort takes place in August and features many
symphony concerts as well as individual meetings
and conferences. It coincides with the WV State
Monarch Butterfly Festival.
Snowshoe Oktoberfest - Each October the
resort hosts the Snowshoe Oktoberfest during the
first winter holiday. This event, which
celebrates German beer, culture and all things
having to with the Autumn harvest, always brings
a large crowd.
Appalachian Fest Food and Beer Celebration
- The resort celebrates Appalachian mountain
culture and heritage with downhome food,
mountain music, and tons of arts and local
crafts during the Appalachian Festival in
October.
